Designing an intelligent debate

The Bush Education Doctrine--equal time for bullshit--should be extended to make it more valuable--equal time for rationalism.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, The Best Argument against Intelligent Design in our species suggested this:
Bush compared the current debate to earlier disputes over "creationism," a related view that adheres more closely to biblical explanations. As governor of Texas, Bush said students should be exposed to both creationism and evolution.

On Monday the president said he favors the same approach for intelligent design "so people can understand what the debate is about."
Why stop there. How about equal time for atheists? Socialism of all types? Human rights regardless of sexual orientation? Might as well let our students really know "what the debate is about."

Maybe then I'd concede a couple of minutes for Intelligent Design. Because certainly one thing the debate is about is why ID is bullshit. And that shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.
